Design a game
Design-a-game challenges students to develop a game format to help explain an aspect of the Inside DNA exhibition to a chosen audience, such as other students in their school, family members and so on. Design-a-game can be suitable for KS3 students as well as those aged 14 to 19 (depending on the exhibition topic covered).

Debate

Breaking News - Fact or Opinion
Breaking News are a series of generic discussion activities that can be adapted to cover anybreaking stories in the news, for a particular topic or issue.
Fact or Opinion
This task creates discussion by encouraging students to identify and
compare when facts or opinions are being used as a tool for reporting on a
particular issue, in a variety of publications and media.

Breaking News - Media Spin
Breaking News are a series of generic discussion activities that can be adapted to cover anybreaking stories in the news, for a particular topic or issue.
Media Spin
Students look at the same topic or issue covered in different
publications/media and try and identify any bias or “spin” that has been
put on the story.

This task creates discussion by encouraging students to look deeper into
the science behind the issues they are reading about, and compare the
original research with what was reported in the news.

Breaking News are a series of generic discussion activities that can be adapted to cover anybreaking stories in the news, for a particular topic or issue.
Role Play
This task creates discussion by encouraging students to examine a topic or
issue in the news from many different perspectives, which can then be
disseminated to a larger audience through the use of role play.
